സിനിമക്കിടെ ഉള്ള ദേശീയ ഗാനത്തിന് എഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കേണ്ട: സുപ്രീംകോടതി

ഡൽഹി: സിനിമക്കിടയിലോ ഡോക്യുമെന്‍ററിക്കിടയിലോ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള ദേശീയ ഗാനത്തിന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിൽക്കേണ്ടതില്ലെന്ന് സുപ്രീം കോടതി. അതേസമയം, സിനിമക്ക് മുന്‍പ് ദേശീയഗാനം കേൾക്കുമ്പോള്‍ എല്ലാവരും എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിൽക്കണമെന്നും കോടതി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ജസ്റ്റീസുമാരായ ദീപക് മിശ്രയും അമിത് ഘോഷും അടങ്ങിയ ബഞ്ചിന്‍റേതാണ് ഈ വിധി.

തീയറ്ററിൽ സിനിമക്ക് മുൻപ് ദേശീയ ഗാനം കേൾപ്പിക്കണമെന്നും എല്ലാവരും എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിൽക്കണമെന്നും കോടതി മുൻപ് ഉത്തരവിട്ടിരുന്നു. ഈ ഉത്തരവിൽ വ്യക്തത ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുള്ള ഹർജിയിലാണ് കോടതി പുതിയ നിർദേശം പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചത്.

Audience need not stand when National Anthem played in films: SC

The Supreme Court had ordered that the National Anthem must be played in public theaters across the country before a movie in the last November, minus any dramatisation, in an attempt to promote patriotism. This author had respectfully disagreed with the apex court's ruling back then, as forcing citizens to honour the nation is a great insult to India, and this author continues to maintain the same view.
